Situated in Western Tibet's Mount Kailash region, the
source of Tibet's Four Rivers Chu-bZhi (Four Rivers) evokes a sense of sacredness,brutality and beauty.

Filmed without government permits the Director was denied entry Visa into Tibet and was not present during filming.
Chu-bZhi trades stock between raw natural landscapes and development projects being put in place on the Tibetan plateau.

Chu-bZhi presents series of site-specific vignettes in an avante-garde documentary style.



Tenzin Phuntsog is a Tibetan filmmaker and artist, MFA Columbia University, New York Visual Arts. His films explore time and space the fundamental and most provocative aspect of film and the camera. His work explores topics of the esoteric, modernism, culture, history and Tibetan identity through avant-garde cinema.
