The International Buddhist Film Festival Europe was initiated in 2003 in California, USA. Since 2006 the IBFF Europe branch started in the Netherlands in affiliation with IBFF as a unique platform aiming to present a new feature and documentary film genre in which authentic spirituality and contemplative content is important. IBFF Europe is devoted to present these productions from various countries and regions, the focus is on films from the Asian Buddhist countries which are relatively unknown to a wider audience.

	Het Internationaal Boeddhistisch Film Festival Europa is een uniek platform doordat het festival zich richt op kwaliteitsfilms met spiritualiteit en een hoog contemplatief gehalte. Met het thema voor de tweede editie, K O R E A | T I B E T | Z E N wil het festival een bijdrage leveren aan de maatschappelijke discussies over culturele diversiteit, waarden en normen en onderdrukking.

	Installatie Haiku - de Kunst van het Nu Op alle dagen van het festival zal de installatie HAIKU - DE KUNST VAN HET NU van beeldend kunstenaar Madelon Hooykaas te zien zijn in Studio K. De installatie is gebaseerd op het werk van de grote Japanse dichter Matsuo Basho.
